Nationals

• Original and copy of personal identity card (valid, undamaged plastic and seal, with legible data and photograph).
• In case of loss of the identity card, you can submit the application for an identity card from the Electoral Tribunal with the seal and signature of the official.

Foreigners

• Original and copy of the migration card (valid, undamaged plastic and seal, with legible data and photograph). If you have a permanent resident permit (E card), you must present the original and a copy of the personal identity card (valid, undamaged plastic and seal, with legible data and photograph).
• In case of loss of the identity card, you can submit the application for an identity card from the Electoral Tribunal with the seal and signature of the official.
• Original and copy of the ordinary passport (valid and undamaged, according to the nationality described in the migration card).
• Report of the lost license by the Public Ministry, only in case of loss or theft exceeding B/.250.00.
• Complete the form for a lost license and sworn statement at the branch.

• You must be in good standing with the A.T.T.T.

Important:

• Every person from 85 years of age onwards must take the skill test according to the category(ies) on their driver’s license. Therefore, the duplicate must be processed at a branch where a practical validation is carried out. The vehicle for the practical validation must be in good condition with a valid plate (sticker and decal).
• Applies to all categories.
• To request the duplicate procedure for theft, loss, or robbery, you must access:licencia.com.pa
• The duplicate request (automatically generated once you attach the procedure requirements) has a verification period of 72 business hours (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays) for waiting and verification of minor infractions by the A.T.T.T.
• In case of requesting a duplicate for corrections, name change, document number change, and other updates in identity documents, the user must present the driver’s license at the branch without a prior appointment. It will be verified that the data on it are legible to proceed with the requested changes, and they must have their respective supporting documents validating the required change.
• If you have an active payment arrangement, the validity of the driver’s license will depend on the clause established with the A.T.T.T.
• Payment must be made at the branch where your procedure ends.
• You can make your payment in cash, with a credit or debit card at the ATTT cash registers within Sertracen branches. Also, through online banking or at ATMs, once the operator indicates the control number of your new procedure in case of paying by ATM.

If the procedure is online, your payment must be made using the following methods:

• Through the platform with VISA / Mastercard credit card. Also, at ATMs or online banking. If you select the delivery method, the payment must be made with a VISA / Mastercard credit card.
• The names, surnames, and document number must match or be the same on all documents or requirements presented. If there is any difference in the data, supporting documents will be requested to validate that it is the same person and will be subject to verification. If your identity card shows data modifications, you must provide the original supporting documents issued by the Electoral Tribunal.
• All documentation provided must be valid, in good condition, without damage, and legible data and photograph must comply with security guidelines. (Applies to all requirements).
• The validity of the driver’s license will be equal to the expiration date of the previous license granted.
• The issuance of the driver’s license is conditioned on compliance with the regulations of traffic and that all requirements are valid at the time of document printing.
• There must be no accumulation of more than fifty (50) points in your driver’s history at the time of requesting the procedure. (Requirement by law 146 of April 15, 2020, begins to apply from May 15, 2020).
• Every foreigner registered under a limited migratory status can only opt for categories A, B, and C.
• Foreigners with a new document number: to process a driver’s license procedure after any change of identity document (passport to passport, passport to ID, ID to passport, or ID to ID), records must be updated to the new number:
  –Vehicle registration (vehicles to be updated).
  –Minor infractions (pending must be paid, and payment arrangements must be updated to the new document number).
  –Weights and dimensions (procedures for vehicles to be maintained or related to your name must have completed all processes, i.e., withdrawal of cards and payments).
  –JTraffic Courts (restrictions and police reports must be resolved or updated to the new number).
